Physical Therapist Sandra Glasson

Dr. Sandy Glasson, M.D.

Dr. Sandra Glasson attended the University of Virginia for her undergraduate education in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering. She later attended medical school at Duke University where she received her Doctor of Medicine and was fellowship trained in Pediatric Orthopedics and Sports Medicine. She has been practicing for over 30 years.

Dr. Glasson has spent time working with various Olympic Sports teams including, women’s field hockey, women’s basketball and the U.S. women’s National soccer team while they claimed the gold medal in Athens, Greece.

She also served as the team physician for Old Dominion University Wrestling Team, Elizabeth City State University basketball, Virginia Rush Soccer Club and First Colonial and Princess Anne High Schools. For many years, she was the medical director for the Breezy Point Triathlon, the Sandman Triathlon and the Rock and Roll Half Marathon.

Sandy Wasko

Sandy Wasko, MPT

Sandy is currently the Director of Physical therapy at Glasson Sport Medicine. She attended Old Dominion University where she received both her undergraduate degree in Exercise Science and her Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy. She has been practicing as a Physical Therapist since 2001. Sandy specializes in evaluating the biomechanical deficit to treat the problem, not just the symptoms.

Physical Therapist Ashley

Ashley DeBoise (Chaney), PT, cert MDT

Ashley is a Texas native and joined us in 2014. She completed her undergraduate at the University of Texas in Austin and her Masters in Physical Therapy from Texas State University in 2005. She became a certified Mckenzie therapist in 2008. She loves to stay active through various sports but her passion is Triathlon and snowboarding. Her greatest athletic achievement is summiting Mt. Kilimanjaro in under 72 hrs. She spends her free time with her husband and son.

Physical Therapist Makayla

Maryalicia Grassano PT, DPT

Maryalicia graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Old Dominion University in 2012 and went on to earn a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Radford University in 2015. She had many clinical internships ranging from pediatric, adult, and geriatric orthopedic and neuromuscular interventions. As a new physical therapist, she plans to specialize in orthopedic injuries and prevention and specialized manual techniques.

Physical Therapist Quanita

Quanita Bennett, LPTA

Quanita is a Virginia Beach native and graduated from Coastal Christian Academy in 2003. She then attended Ferrum College where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Sports Medicine in 2008. In 2012 she completed her Associate’s degree in Physical Therapy Assisting at Tidewater Community College and has been working as a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant at Glasson Sports Medicine since that time.

Physical Therapist Edmond

Edmond Recel, LPTA

Edmond is a Virginia Beach native and graduated from Tallwood High School in 1997. He then attended Virginia Tech where he received his undergraduate degree in Business Information Technology in 2001. He later completed the Physical Therapist Assistant program at Tidewater Community College. Edmond has been practicing as a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant since joining Glasson Sports Medicine in 2012.


Max Santiago, LPTA

Max is a Brooklyn,NY native and joined us in 2017. He graduated from Kingsborough Community College with his Associates Degree in physical therapy in 2012. Shortly after, he was licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant. He has spent most of his career focusing on rehab involving sports injuries, geriatric and pediatric orthopedics.
